The complete works of Shakespeare, about one million words. The dark squares along the main diagonal are formed by the names of the casts of characters, which generally match more within a play than when comparing a single play to the others. The exceptions are the Histories, and in particular Richard the II, Richard the III, and Richard Duke of York. In addition to character names, the histories share a common vocabulary of words such as Blood, Lord, and Steed.
