Mandala was developed as part of a Ph.D. dissertation at the University of New Mexico's Computer Science Department with generous support from AT&T Lab's Information Systems and Services Research Organization, AT&T's Human-Computer Interface Research Department, and Jim Hollan, University of California, San Diego, Cognitive Science Department.The Mandala project was partially supported by the Effective Information Access project at the UNM department of Computer Science. The Effective Information Access project is supported by a CISE research infrastructure award, with partial support from the division of Information and Intelligent Systems.
